Movie turnaround

Beauty and Beast turnaround from Iyi Tubi on Vimeo.

Finale

Making the beast version was very easy due to the unwrapping and with the texture I just painted on rust mud in the right places. After that I did the wireframe and smoothed renders, all I have lef to work on is the turnaround movie.

Solutions

In the end I was not able to sort out the problem, which was originanally caused by how I projected my uv's. So I had to detach the body into two separate sections then re unwrap it. With that done I have the beauty version of my vehicle done and now I will work on the beast version.

Shellac tests

With the car paint texture, I first started by experimenting with the shellac shader, which is used for the gloss coating on cars. After I found the correct adjustments, I noticed problems at certain areas of the model so I will try and sort ot the textures and the uv's co-ordinates.

UV's textured

Spending time in Photoshop, I have painted in textures on to these uv's and now i will be applying the diffuse textures as a diffuse map in 3ds max.

UV maps

After a lot of time, I have finally unwrapped the entire vehicle. Whilst doing it I started thinking of methods that can make the process faster. I remembered that apart from the body the rest of the vehicle can just be mirrored. So I unwrapped just unwrapped the right side then mirrored it. With that done I can easily add logos and writing to the vehicle, but first I will be adding the base colours on to the uv template and a subset of them are they for your viewing.

Modelling nearing completion

After getting over that brief problem, as stated before, I symmetried everything to create an impressive looking model. I started to set out the glass when I noticed that I would need to make and interior (which is what I am working on now) then I will add in other pieces to the model and unwrap it.
